System voltage
The nominal voltage of your Stand Alone Power System (SPS) is usually determined by your system size - basically 12volts for small systems, 24volts for medium systems, and 48 volts or higher for larger systems. This is because electrical losses increase with current, and increasing voltage is the way to keep current down whilst maintaining power. Remember Watts (power) = Volts x Amps (current)!
